OVERVIEW
The new, 2022 edition has been created for riding any distance in total comfort. Featuring Pearson House Design geometry, the durability of titanium ensures the frame will last a lifetime.
Titanium provides the shock absorption and strength of steel but its light weight is comparable to a carbon frame. The stiffness of the material also provides excellent power transfer. For 2022, we’ve given the classic metallic ‘Ti’ look a makeover, opting for a new painted finish, and the opportunity to flash the finely polished raw titanium on the seat tube and downtube Pearson graphic.
All Pearson titanium bikes are made using hand-drawn 3AL-2.5v titanium for the main three tubes. The highest quality titanium available, it is triple-butted to ensure strength and agility when riding. The expert knowledge required in its manufacture means that it’s lighter and often dearer to produce. However, the end result makes for a significantly more exciting performance. Created for longevity, titanium won’t rust or corrode and is more resistant to heavy impacts. (Lower quality, single-gauge titanium is prone to cracks or fractures.)
Other updates include new adaptable ports on the chainstay, seat tube and downtube, for either mechanical or electric mechs, or simply rear mech alone. The carefully balanced geometry provides a sustainable riding position, while direct disc mounts ensure the utmost braking power and 12mm through-axles minimise flex to ensure a robust ride.
We could have named our whole range from Shakespeare’s Henry V. (We stopped at two.) Stiffening our sinews, crying God for Harry, England and St. George, old Henry is the quintessential motivational speaker. Similarly, our Summon the Blood titanium edition has been designed to get – and keep – you going. In fact, it’s a frame so durable that had it been forged at the same time Shakespeare was writing, it would likely have endured every bit as much as his plays. (Well, almost.)
It's the Little Things...
"The much used titanium finish is one we have loved and now lost, but not completely. Welcome to a new era of the highest level of hard wearing painted designs, which still show off a ‘bit of titanium leg’ to your friends. New cable port adapters make this frame the most versatile to date, mechanical or electronic, gravel or road groups, this takes it all"
Will Pearson.
