HammerandtongsCarbon Road Bike
Hammerandtongs takes its name from the tools first used by our founder, Tom Pearson, to forge Pearson’s reputation for excellence. The frame is made from high-modulus carbon, which is lightweight (900g in size medium) yet durable to guarantee years of happy riding.
Adhering to Pearson House Design (PhD), our exclusive in-house fit system, Hammerandtongs features a slightly taller front-end, for a more comfortable position. Slimmed-down rear seat-stays improve shock-absorption, without compromising the efficiency required from a high-end race bike.
Gearing comes in a range of options, from the excellent Shimano 105, to high-performance Ultegra mechanical or the effortless shifting of Ultegra Di2. Once you’ve tried Di2, you’ll likely never go back. The gearing also features a broad-range 11-34 rear cassette and compact 50/34 chainset, versatile enough to accommodate easy climbing and fast descents.
Hydraulic brakes ensure efficient, reliable stopping. The battery life affords considerable mileage on a single charge; typically, you only need to recharge three times a year. The finishing kit comprises of a two-piece integrated bar and stem combo (keeping all cables hidden away neatly) and a slick bespoke carbon seatpost.
The Hammerandtongs has always been a popular model for our customers. We focus on comfort and speed combined, often a solution to many a customer’s bike fit requirements. We have maintained versatility with a broad range of gears hung on an amazingly light frame, so hills up and down are well managed, especially with sublime braking from hydraulic discs. Now in its fifth iteration, the ‘Hammer’ is a definite crowd-pleaser. Will Pearson.
