Taking its name from the blacksmith’s trade that, in 1860, was the launchpad for our founder, Tom Pearson, Irons in the Fire is a durable, versatile steel machine. The swept bars of this special edition creates a comfortable position suited to both city and gravel riding. Built from double-butted, tig-welded chromoly, it offers unrivalled reliability and strength.
A slightly higher front end gives a commanding riding position, for good visibility on the commute and confidence on more challenging surfaces. The lightweight carbon fork can accommodate tyres up to 40mm wide, making Flat Iron a robust tourer. Smooth-shifting is thanks to the reliable Shimano Sora groupset that comes as standard as does powerful hydraulic brakes. The bike is completed with swept-back alloy bars and stem.
Quick Thoughts…
“I love the robust nature of this bike. It feels like a reliable machine every time you jump on and ride. We’ve adapted this version of the Irons In The Fire, for stress-free comfortable commuting by adding sweptback handlebars and plenty of clearance to use larger tyres for grip and added puncture resistance. With mounts for mudguards and a rack, you can limitlessly load up whatever the weather, ready for the day ahead.”
